Non surgical treatments to soften lines, restore volume, and enhance facial harmony with natural looking results
If you have begun noticing changes in the way your face looks at rest or in expression, you may be wondering what options exist to gently refresh your appearance. Over time, expression lines can become more visible, facial contours may soften, and areas that once looked fuller may gradually lose volume. These changes are a natural part of aging, but it is completely understandable to want solutions that help you feel comfortable and confident in your appearance.
Injectable treatments offer a thoughtful, non surgical way to address many of these concerns. When performed with care and precision, they can soften expression lines, restore areas where volume has changed, refine facial contours, and improve overall skin quality while preserving the natural character of your face.
At PIPS (Partners in Plastic Surgery of West Michigan), injectable treatments are designed with a conservative and personalized approach. Every face is unique, and every treatment plan is developed with attention to facial anatomy, balance, and the goals you would like to achieve.
All injections are performed in our Skin Care Center by highly trained cosmetic nurse injectors who specialize in facial anatomy, safety, and advanced injectable techniques. The approach emphasizes subtle, elegant enhancement so your appearance remains natural and true to you, simply refreshed.
Injectable treatments offered at PIPS
Our Skin Care Center offers several categories of injectable treatments, each designed to address different aspects of facial aging and skin quality. These include neurotoxins, dermal fillers, and collagen stimulating biostimulators. Together, these treatments allow us to approach facial rejuvenation in a flexible and personalized way.
To support this approach, we use products from some of the most trusted manufacturers in aesthetic medicine, including Allergan, Galderma, and Revance. These companies produce well studied injectable treatments that are widely used by experienced providers across the country.
Because each product line has different characteristics, our injectors can carefully select the most appropriate treatment based on your facial anatomy, skin quality, and treatment goals.
What happens during your consultation
Your visit begins with a detailed evaluation of your facial structure and aesthetic goals. Your injector will take time to understand what concerns you most and what type of results you would like to see.
During this consultation, several factors are carefully evaluated, including facial proportions, muscle movement, skin quality, and the natural balance of the face. This process helps ensure that any treatment plan is designed specifically for you rather than following a standardized formula.
For many patients, injectable treatments are not about changing their appearance, but about restoring balance and softening signs of aging in a way that feels natural and comfortable.
Neurotoxins
Neurotoxins are commonly used to soften expression lines that develop from repeated facial movements over time. These treatments work by gently relaxing specific muscles responsible for dynamic wrinkles while preserving natural facial movement.
They are often used to address areas such as forehead lines, frown lines between the brows, and crow’s feet around the eyes. In some cases, neurotoxins may also be used to treat concerns such as bunny lines on the nose, a gummy smile, or visible neck bands.
Treatment involves a series of precise micro injections and is typically quick and well tolerated. Most patients are able to return to their normal activities immediately afterward. Over the following days, the targeted muscles gradually relax, allowing the skin to appear smoother and more refreshed. Results typically last about three to four months.
Dermal fillers
Dermal fillers are used to restore facial volume and refine natural contours. Most fillers are made from hyaluronic acid, a substance naturally present in the body that helps maintain hydration and softness within the skin.
As facial volume gradually changes over time, areas such as the cheeks, midface, or temples may begin to appear less supported. Dermal fillers can help restore this volume while maintaining natural facial balance. They may also be used to enhance lip shape and hydration, refine the jawline or chin, and soften deeper folds around the mouth.
Treatment is performed with fine needles or specialized blunt tipped cannulas, allowing the injector to carefully sculpt and contour the treatment area. Results are visible immediately and typically last between six and eighteen months depending on the product used and the treatment area.
Biostimulators
Biostimulators offer a different approach to facial rejuvenation. Rather than providing immediate volume, these treatments stimulate the body’s natural collagen production, gradually improving skin firmness, elasticity, and overall quality.
Products such as Sculptra and Radiesse are commonly used to support collagen production over time. As new collagen forms, the skin may appear firmer, smoother, and more supported.
Because the results develop gradually, biostimulators often create very natural looking improvements that continue to evolve over several months. In many cases, results can last one to two years depending on the treatment plan.
Safety and expertise
Patient safety is always our highest priority. Our cosmetic nurse injectors receive advanced training in facial anatomy and follow strict safety protocols to ensure that every treatment is performed with precision and care.
Temporary side effects such as mild swelling, redness, or bruising can occur after injections, but these typically resolve within a few days. During your visit, your injector will review detailed aftercare instructions and answer any questions you may have.
