Your treatment reflects your skin type, your current concerns, and the overall condition of your skin that day. Whether your skin leans dry, oily, sensitive, acne-prone, combination, or more mature, the approach is thoughtful and specific.

At PIPS, skincare treatments are delivered in a comfortable clinical setting using high-quality, dermatologist-approved products. Each step of your facial is performed with attention to safety, technique, and skin health.

A Custom Facial offers a way to invest in your skin in a personalized, attentive manner. When your skin feels balanced and cared for, that confidence often carries into the rest of your day.

What your expect treatment includes

Your Custom Facial begins with a thorough cleansing to remove buildup and prepare the skin for active ingredients. This step helps restore a healthy surface balance and allows products to absorb more effectively.

When appropriate, dermaplaning may be incorporated at this stage of the treatment. This is a gentle, non-invasive exfoliation technique performed with a sterile surgical blade to remove dead skin cells and fine facial hair from the surface of the skin. It helps create a smoother texture, a brighter overall appearance, and allows subsequent products to penetrate more effectively, leaving the skin feeling soft and refreshed without any downtime.

Exfoliation is then selected according to your skin’s needs. This may include enzyme exfoliation for gentle refinement, light chemical exfoliation to improve tone and clarity, or controlled resurfacing to smooth texture. Each method is chosen to encourage fresh cell turnover while maintaining skin comfort.

Warm towels are applied to promote relaxation and improve circulation. When appropriate, careful extractions are performed to clear congestion and support a clearer complexion.

 

Advanced care & final steps

Next, targeted serums are applied. These may include hyaluronic acid for hydration, peptides to support firmness and smoothness, antioxidants to protect from environmental stress, or calming botanical blends to soothe and rebalance the skin.

Ingredients are layered thoughtfully to maximize benefit.
A customized mask follows, selected to hydrate, brighten, purify, or calm based on your skin’s needs that day. During this time, you can relax while the active ingredients work.

Massage of the face, neck, and décolleté is incorporated to enhance circulation and promote relaxation. This step supports healthy skin function and leaves you feeling refreshed.

The treatment concludes with nourishing hydration and SPF application to protect and strengthen the skin barrier before you leave.

Appointments are typically scheduled for approximately 75 minutes, including consultation, treatment, and guidance on maintaining results with a supportive home routine.

She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from University of Detroit Mercy and her Master of Science in Nursing, with a focus in anesthesia, from Oakland University.

With over a decade of experience, Katy brings a thoughtful, patient-centered approach to every case. She is deeply committed to safety, precision, and creating a calm, reassuring environment where patients feel fully supported throughout their surgical experience. Known for her attention to detail and intuitive care, she prioritizes both clinical excellence and patient comfort.

Katelyn is an experienced Aesthetic Nurse Injector with 14 years of nursing experience, the majority of which has been spent in the pediatric emergency department. For the past three years, Katelyn has specialized in aesthetic medicine and is certified in both neurotoxins and dermal fillers. She is known for her refined technique and artistic eye, focusing on subtle, natural-looking results that enhance each patient’s unique features. Tonya Snyder (formerly Tonya Neve) serves as Practice Manager at Partners in Plastic Surgery of West Michigan in Grand Rapids, where she leads the operational, financial, and strategic direction of a multi-provider plastic surgery and aesthetic practice. With more than 25 years of healthcare experience, she oversees budgeting and financial performance, revenue cycle management, human resources, compliance, vendor negotiations, marketing initiatives, and technology integration.

Tonya works closely with physicians and staff to refine workflows, strengthen internal policies, and implement systems that support both efficiency and long-term sustainability.

Her leadership style is hands-on, data-driven, and solutions-focused, with a focus on strengthening systems, communication, and team effectiveness. She is deeply engaged in process improvement and operational strategy, ensuring that the practice delivers a seamless and elevated patient experience.

Earlier in her career, Tonya spent over two decades at Lacks Cancer Center supporting breast oncology care—an experience that continues to shape her patient-centered perspective and commitment to compassionate service.

Registered Nurse - Surgical Center

Rebekah Ross has been a Registered Nurse for 15 years. Her first 3 years of nursing were spent at Mercy Health Saint Mary’s taking care of elderly, cardiovascular, and kidney transplant patients. In 2014, she made the move to work in outpatient surgery at the same hospital. The main focus of that outpatient surgery center was breast cancer and reconstructive surgery.

Rebekah worked with these patients in all areas of surgery including pre-op, operating room, and post-op. She took a break for a couple years for her family, and then started working at Partners in Plastic Surgery. You can find her in the operating room following her patients through the entire surgery process from start to finish.

She truly loves this because she can really focus on her patient and give them her full attention. Having the same nurse throughout their surgery day makes them feel more comfortable and at ease.

From coordinating operating room availability and managing provider calendars to confirming pre-operative requirements, she carefully oversees every detail to help procedures stay on track.

Throughout her career, Eva has trained and practiced across the United States, refining a technique that blends clinical precision with artistic intuition. She specializes in creating bespoke tattoos for individuals with high standards who prioritize quality and long-term results. Dawn Borreson is a Registered Nurse with over four decades of experience, with 12 of those years being in aesthetics. She completed, with honors, her Bachelors and Masters Degrees in nursing through University of Detroit Mercy and has achieved numerous nursing certifications and awards.

Dawn’s professionalism and attention to detail contribute to her patients' goals of looking their best. Dawn has extensive training in dermal fillers, neurotoxins (Botox/Dysport), lasers and advanced training in biostimulators.
