When this happens, a professional facial can help reset the skin and support its natural vitality.

The SKNLAB Facial is an advanced treatment designed to gently cleanse, hydrate, and revitalize the skin without irritation or downtime. Instead of focusing on just one concern, this facial works across several layers of the skin to improve hydration, circulation, and overall skin quality.

The SKNLAB technology combines several complementary modalities—including aqua dermabrasion, microcurrent stimulation, radiofrequency, and electroporation—to cleanse the skin, improve circulation, and help beneficial ingredients absorb more effectively. The result is a facial that feels relaxing while still delivering meaningful improvements in the appearance and feel of the skin.

At PIPS (Partners in Plastic Surgery of West Michigan), the SKNLAB Facial is performed by licensed aestheticians and trained skincare specialists inside our Skin Care Center. Each treatment is adjusted according to your skin type, sensitivity, and the condition of your skin that day, so the experience feels both comfortable and personalized.

When the SKNLAB Facial may be helpful

You may begin considering a SKNLAB Facial when your skin feels dehydrated, congested, or uneven in texture. The complexion may appear dull, the pores may look more noticeable, or the skin may simply feel tired.

This facial can also help support skin that feels sensitive or reactive, as well as areas where mild puffiness or facial tension affect how the skin looks. Because the treatment focuses on hydration, gentle exfoliation, and improved circulation, it helps restore a refreshed appearance while keeping the experience comfortable.

Planning your facial treatment

Every SKNLAB Facial begins with a careful evaluation of your skin. During this step, your provider looks at hydration levels, tone, sensitivity, and texture.

This allows the treatment to be adjusted in real time so the techniques and products used during the facial match what your skin needs at that moment.

How the SKNLAB Facial is performed

The treatment begins with professional cleansing to remove impurities, excess oil, and surface buildup. This prepares the skin so the following steps can work more effectively.
Next, the skin is gently exfoliated. Depending on your skin’s condition, this may include enzyme exfoliation or other smoothing techniques that refine the skin’s surface while maintaining comfort.
The SKNLAB device is then used to deliver targeted ingredients through a combination of aqua-delivery technology and electroporation. These technologies help infuse hydrating and restorative ingredients into the skin in a comfortable, non-invasive way. During this phase, calming ingredients, antioxidants, peptides, or hydrating complexes may be used depending on the needs of your skin.
A lymphatic drainage or lifting massage is often incorporated into the treatment. This step helps improve circulation, reduce puffiness, and relieve facial tension while supporting a refreshed appearance.
A customized treatment mask is then applied. Hydrating, brightening, calming, or plumping formulas may be selected depending on how your skin responds during the facial.
The treatment concludes with professional serums, moisturizer, and sun protection to support hydration and protect the skin after the facial.
Most SKNLAB Facial appointments last approximately 45 to 60 minutes.

The SKNLAB Facial can be performed at different levels depending on the needs of your skin.

Essential focuses on deep cleansing and hydration through aqua dermabrasion combined with carefully selected serums that help restore clarity and moisture.

Enhance includes all aspects of the Essential treatment while adding dermaplaning, advanced handpieces, and customized NOON Aesthetics infusions.

Elevate builds on the Enhance protocol and incorporates EXO|E exosomes, which support skin recovery and improve overall skin vitality.

With over a decade of experience, Katy brings a thoughtful, patient-centered approach to every case. Known for her attention to detail and intuitive care, she prioritizes both clinical excellence and patient comfort.

Katelyn is an experienced Aesthetic Nurse Injector with 14 years of nursing experience, the majority of which has been spent in the pediatric emergency department. For the past three years, Katelyn has specialized in aesthetic medicine and is certified in both neurotoxins and dermal fillers. She is known for her refined technique and artistic eye, focusing on subtle, natural-looking results that enhance each patient’s unique features. Katelyn is passionate about helping patients feel confident and empowered in their own skin, combining clinical precision with a personalized approach to care.

With more than 25 years of healthcare experience, she oversees budgeting and financial performance, revenue cycle management, human resources, compliance, vendor negotiations, marketing initiatives, and technology integration.

Tonya works closely with physicians and staff to refine workflows, strengthen internal policies, and implement systems that support both efficiency and long-term sustainability.

Her leadership style is hands-on, data-driven, and solutions-focused, with a focus on strengthening systems, communication, and team effectiveness. She is deeply engaged in process improvement and operational strategy, ensuring that the practice delivers a seamless and elevated patient experience.

Earlier in her career, Tonya spent over two decades at Lacks Cancer Center supporting breast oncology care—an experience that continues to shape her patient-centered perspective and commitment to compassionate service.

Registered Nurse - Surgical Center

Rebekah Ross has been a Registered Nurse for 15 years. Her first 3 years of nursing were spent at Mercy Health Saint Mary’s taking care of elderly, cardiovascular, and kidney transplant patients. In 2014, she made the move to work in outpatient surgery at the same hospital. The main focus of that outpatient surgery center was breast cancer and reconstructive surgery.

Rebekah worked with these patients in all areas of surgery including pre-op, operating room, and post-op. She took a break for a couple years for her family, and then started working at Partners in Plastic Surgery. You can find her in the operating room following her patients through the entire surgery process from start to finish.

She truly loves this because she can really focus on her patient and give them her full attention. Having the same nurse throughout their surgery day makes them feel more comfortable and at ease.

From coordinating operating room availability and managing provider calendars to confirming pre-operative requirements, she carefully oversees every detail to help procedures stay on track.

Dawn’s professionalism and attention to detail contribute to her patients' goals of looking their best. Dawn has extensive training in dermal fillers, neurotoxins (Botox/Dysport), lasers and advanced training in biostimulators.
