Procedures Performed: TRAM Flap Breast Reconstruction

* This 44 year old woman had a right breast cancer which was treated by bilateral mastectomies. Her reconstructive plan consisted of skin sparing subcutaneous mastectomies which included a SPAIR breast reduction skin excision to both reduce the size and lift the final breast. She was able to use tissue from her abdomen as filler for the her breast skin envelopes. This not only allowed her to have a reconstruction using only her own soft tissues but gave her the bonus of a tummy tuck as well. Her reconstruction was completed fourteen months later with touch up procedures to finalize the shape and size of her breasts and revise her abdominal scars.
