*Having an inverted nipple can be problematic as well as an aesthetic issue. It can make breast feeding difficult or impossible and sometimes the indented area can secrete a discharge that can become infected or have an un-pleasant odor. Reversing this anomaly can be easily corrected, sometimes just under local anesthetic. For this woman it made a big difference because at one time or another she had exerienced each of the problems listed above. You can see from the photos that a complete correction was accomplished.
