* Here is a 57 year old woman who had a left breast cancer treated by mastecomy and latissimus dorsi with tissue expander breast reconstruction. Six months later her tissue expander was replaced with the permament implant, her nipple and areola were reconstructed, and a breast lift was done to her right breast. Her right nipple and areola were naturally very light so she chose not to have the tattooing done to her left reconstructed NAC. Her post op photos show her at 8 years out from her original surgery, demonstrating that breast reconstruction can be long lasting.
