Ear Surgery Procedure
Protruding or abnormally-shaped ears can significantly harm a person’s self-esteem, and this is particularly true for younger children, who may be teased or taunted about their appearance. Although it is ideal for children to have this surgery so that they can avoid being ridiculed, this procedure is not just for kids. Many adults elect to have ear surgery as well.
We also perform surgery for torn or droopy earlobes. This can occur from long-term wear of heavy earrings, as a result of a traumatic event or from ear gauging. The tear or hole can be closed up, and the surgeon will also reconstruct the size or shape of the earlobe if necessary. Droopy ears can become perkier with an earlobe reduction, making you appear more youthful.
