* This 46 year old woman had considered a bilateral breast reduction for a few years. When a left breast biopsy showed an intra-ductal cancer, she discussed the possibility of incorporating the removal of the affected tissue in conjunction with a breast reduction. Her opposite breast would simply be reduced using the traditional SPAIR reduction technique. This was easily achieved by working with her surgeon treating her cancer and one of our reconstructive surgeons. She is now two months out from her outpatient procedure with beautifully shaped breasts that give the impression that she simply had a bilateral breast reduction. She had 511 gms of tissue removed from her right breast and 339 gms from her left.
