* Here is a 61 year old woman who had bilateral mastectomies as a result of breast cancer. Her right chest wall had also been irradiated. She discussed her options for breast reconstruction with one of our surgeons. The skin that had been irradiated needed to be replaced. Her anatomy was such that she had extra skin and soft tissue on her abdomen. This would be very advantageous in reconstructing her breasts. Her reconstruction would take two stages along with tattooing of her reconstructed nipple and areolae. The surgical procedures were performed one year apart. The tattooing was completed six months after her last surgery. Her post operative appearance shows her at one year after her final stage.
