This healthy young mother presented to our office requesting an “augmentation” but after consulting with the surgeon, it was evident that she had been struggling with the congenital defect of a severe asymmetry in size between her breasts. This type of asymmetry can often cause back and neck pain as women compensate for the additional weight on one side of their chest.
After consulting, the decision was made to use a 600cc implant on the right and a 350cc implant on the left to try to even out the breasts. Additionally, a mastopexy (breast lift) was also done on the left side.
This patient was very happy with a more even weight, look and feel to her breasts.
