*We try to get as much information about our patient’s as far as their outcome desires and life style to help in the decision making before any breast surgery. This 28 year old woman is a runner, important information for both her surgeon and her to consider. She had come in with the (wise) decision that she did not want to be too big because she was a runner. Sometimes women don’t think about the fact that the breast implants will have some weight to them and will make a difference if they are regular runners. With this in mind, she decided she wanted a very modest breast augmentation. She had a fairly good sized skin envelope to fill but in keeping with her concerns a 300cc Moderate Plus profile implant was placed in the sub-pectoral position through an inframmary fold incision. This filled out her skin envelope without making her breasts a size that would make it difficult to keep up with her running.
