*This 57 year old woman had lost an amazing 135 lbs which left her with excess abdominal skin. In her case the skin was mostly in the front of her trunk. Her surgical plan was to have an extended abdominoplasty. In other words the skin excision would include some skin along her sides as well as her abdomen. Then, as in a traditional abdominoplasty, the skin was excised from her abdomen as well and her abdominal wall was tightened up. Her incision needed to be extended around her sides, however that gave her a smooth contour around her hips. These photos are only at 3 months post op so her scars need some time to lighten but the projected outcome appears to be remarkable!
