*After an amazing 105 lb. weight loss this 36 year old woman wanted the excess skin removed from her abdomen. In her case she needed to have what we call a “partial circumferential” abdominoplasty performed. This means that she needed skin removed from both the front and sides of her abdomen but not from her back. If you look closely at the post operative photos you can see where the incision ended. In addition her abdomen was plicated with strong sutures to give her a beautiful body contour as well as taking up the laxity in her abdominal wall. She was very pleased with her new shape, found it easier to fit into her clothes, and gave her the feeling that all of her hard work and recoveries were rewarded!
