*Breast tissue doesn’t need to be excessive in volume; just having a moderate amount of breast tissue can cause neck, back and shoulder pain if the breasts are ptotic (saggy) or low on the chest wall. That was the case for this 51 year old woman. Her breasts were rather wide, ptotic, and low on her chest wall. The strain was constant, especially on her neck and shoulders. A SPAIR breast reduction removed 356 gms on her right breast and 344 gms on her left. Not a huge amount of tissue, but the relief in symptoms was still significant. These photos show her at just 6 months post-op, her scars will become lighter with time but for now this woman is very happy with the relief of her symptoms and her over-all result!
