Boards and Societies
The American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS)
Dr. Ewa Timek and Dr. Dennis Hammond are diplomates of the American Board of Plastic Surgery. The mission of the ABPS is to promote safe, ethical, efficacious plastic surgery to the public by maintaining high standards for the education, examination, certification and recertification of plastic surgeons as specialists and subspecialists.
American College of Surgeons (ACS)
Dr. Hammond is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, a scientific and educational association of surgeons that was founded in 1913 to improve the quality of care for the surgical patient by setting high standards for surgical education and practice.
American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS)
Dr. Hammond is a member of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, an organization of board-certified plastic surgeons specializing in cosmetic plastic surgery. With over 2,500 members in the United States, Canada, and other parts of the world, ASAPS is dedicated to advancing the science, art, and safe practice of aesthetic plastic surgery.
Canadian Society of Plastic Surgeons (CSPS)
Dr. Hammond is an honorary member of the Canadian Society of Plastic Surgeons. A Canadian plastic surgeon is a well-trained, qualified specialist who has passed the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons examinations and is certified to practice plastic surgery. This organization makes it a priority to educate both its members and the general public. Annual scientific meetings are held to share knowledge and expertise in order to improve quality of patient care and advance the practice of plastic surgery.
American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS)
Dr. Timek and Dr. Hammond are active members of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. The ASPS was established over 75 years ago and is the largest plastic surgery specialty organization in the world. ASPS Member Surgeons have more than six years of surgical training and experience, with at least three years specifically in plastic surgery.

The essential emotional and social needs of those living with cancer have driven rapid Gilda's Club expansion in the last five years. Gilda's Club Worldwide, the headquarters organization, works with communities around the world to start and sustain Gilda's Clubs and to advocate for the importance of emotional and social support for anyone touched by cancer.
